Assisted Services

Upcoming trip booking changes start on Nov. 7, 2024

Leduc Assisted Transportation Service (LATS) is moving to a new system for booking rides. This will make service faster and more convenient for you. You can still enjoy door-to-door service and schedule your ride for right away or up to 10 days in advance of travel.

Start pre-booking trips on Nov. 1 in the following ways:

Getting started with the Book-My-Bus app or web portal:

  • Accounts have been created for you using the email registered with LATS.
  • Once you are on the app or website, access your account by clicking “Forgot Password” and reset your password.
  • If you have ridden LATS in the past year, you can enter your address as the destination. Or you can click the pin located over your home on the map.
  • Contact us 780-980-8444 or transit@leduc.ca if you have any issues logging in.

Note: Transit fare products must be purchased at the Leduc Civic Centre, Leduc Recreation Centre, or Leduc County Centre. Drivers will no longer sell tickets onboard, but you can pay a $2-cash fare when you ride.

Leduc Assisted Transportation Service (LATS)

LATS is a door-to-door, driver-assisted transportation service for seniors (65+) and for persons with cognitive and/or physical disabilities within the City of Leduc. Temporary service may be available to individuals with a temporary disability.

Riders receive a Community Connector Newsletter every two months with news and information dedicated for older adults and LATS users in our community.

Rider eligibility is determined on a case-by-case basis following set guidelines and a registration process. Only registered LATS clients are able to book trips.

See if you are eligible and apply to become a LATS member today.

For more information, please contact 780-980-8444 or transit@leduc.ca

Cold weather service impacts

Extreme weather and hazardous road conditions may cause delays to Leduc Assisted Transportation Services (LATS). To help keep our staff and clients safe, wheelchair lifts will no longer be available on LATS buses during these cold weather events when temperatures are below – 20 ̊C.

When travelling in cold weather, please keep the following tips in mind:

  • Do your best to be visible, but wait indoors until the bus arrives
  • Keep your porch light on
  • Remove snow from walkways and step carefully on slippery surfaces
